The Learning Center's Mission
The mission is to provide additional support to help students make progress in their general education classroom. Students with an Individualized Educational Program (IEP) may receive small group or one-on-one instruction in the Learning Center as well as students with behavior challenges can find a quiet space to self-regulate or a safe place to regroup. While the Learning Center provides academic and social emotional services to students with mild to moderate disabilities, it is not exclusive to students with IEPs.
The purpose is that all students could potentially use the Learning Center as an additional resource to provide the boost or the break they require to regain their focus.
Our ultimate goal is encourage students to continue this lifelong journey by expanding their horizons and striving for greater achievements and successes using the enthusiasm and confidence that is instilled in them. Creating a positive and encouraging atmosphere for these students will definitely help them to thrive in all learning environments.
